Center for Revival of Islamic Heritage

Center for Revival of Islamic Works was established in 1985 with the aim of reviving Shiite original texts. Making use of popular editors of texts and recent findings in this connection, this center has thus far edited and published many important and lasting Shiite works.

The first works this center did includes works by Allama Hilli, Shahid Awal, Shahid Thani, Narraqi, the father, Narraqi the son and Fayz Kashani. Nowadays, it works mainly on two complementary areas, one of which being the revival of Islamic texts and the other the editing and publishing classic Shiite works. The first section tries to identify written Shiites heritage and introduce it systematically. The second is supposed to reconstruct and present the main texts of Shiite thought. Keeping the future needs of religious scholars in mind, this section aims at correcting and publishing the works of great Shiite scholars in the form of collected works of Shiite thinkers and personalities, specialized thematic collected works and monographs. This center has thus far 49 works of which 17 are select works.
