89022103.jpgQom – Education deputy of the minister of sciences, researches and technology said: “Seminary institutions, especially Islamic Sciences and Culture Academy can play an important role in the scientific and research development of the country. Seminary institutions must further help universities and scientific centers in this regard”.

According to the office of scientific and international cooperation, Dr. Husain Naderimanesh, while having a meeting with scholars and faculty members of Islamic Sciences and Culture Academy said: “The pace of scientific development in our country is high and attempts have to be made to promote this pace on a regular basis and with the cooperation of seminary and university institutions”.

Referring to the conspiracies hatched by the enemies against the Islamic republic of Iran he pointed out: “Since the Islamic republic of Iran has progressed in the field of modern technologies therefore every day our enemies try to put more pressure on our country”.

“Scientific developments are on the increase in our country, though there is a concern among young generations and scholars as to what is our model of development. Is our model of development Islamic or Western? Here institutions like Islamic Sciences and Culture Academy can play their part”, Naderimanesh mentioned.

“Today we have astonishingly progressed in the fields of nuclear, defense and satellite technologies as well as in nucleus cells and biotechnologies”, he stated.

He asked for the formation of a common committee to assess and proclaim the capacities of Islamic Propagation Office of Qom Seminary and Islamic Sciences and Culture Academy in contributing to the country’s scientific and research developments. He said: “The formation of such a committee is very useful in assessing and coordinating the capacities and scientific interactions”.

Vice deputy of ISCA’s research affairs, being present at this meeting, said: “It is no possible to bring about changes in any educational system without taking certain fundamental measures. University and seminary institutes like ISCA can play a significant role in this regard”.

Referring to the fact that scientific indegenization has to be based on Islamic doctrines, he said: “Islamic Propagation Office and centers like Islamic Science and Culture Academy have good potentials to maneuver in this regard”. Little attempt has been made in our country to view Islamic sciences with a human and social approach. ISCA can definitely play a part here”.

“Establishing an inter-disciplinary discipline is not possible without previous studies”, he mentioned.

He also gave an account of the research centers affiliated to Islamic Sciences and Culture Academy.

Head of the center of political sciences and theories said: “Ours is the only center in the country that deals with Islamic political thought. ISCA has, for the first time in the country, established research departments of political philosophy and political jurisprudence. We are ready to present advanced courses in this regard”.

“Center of political sciences and theories is ready to contribute to the indegenization and Islamization of political sciences in the country. Making use of more than 70 researchers and scholars, this center can become a scientific reference in the field of Islamic scientific thought in the country”, Hujjatulislam Dr. Najaf Lakzai said.

Giving an account, head of the center of Islamic information and documents said: “So far more than 200 glossaries are prepared on various Islamic sciences such as Islamic philosophy, Islamic theology, principles of jurisprudence, logic, Islamic ethics and hadith sciences”.

“Such activities render great services to Islamic seminaries especially in IT areas”, Hujjatulislam Y’aqubnijat mentioned.

Other ISCA directors also gave an account of their activities and gave their suggestions to the deputy of the minister of science, researches and technology.
