Touching the responsibility of Islamic Information and Documents Center, Hujjatulislam Ya’aqubnijad said, “this center has made attempts in different areas to organize Islamic information and documents. Among the center’s activities, one can mention preparation of various glossaries for various Islamic sciences including jurisprudence, principles of jurisprudence, law and Quranic sciences. The reason why we prepared this great software (which is a perfect example of Quranic softwares) was the glossary of the holy Quran that was already existing in the center. By referring to this software, researchers can gain relatively fine knowledge of the Quranic sciences”.

He considered tackling Quranic sciences through using indexes on the basis of glossary of Islamic sciences as one of the main characteristics of this software. It is worth mentioning that the indexation of these sources (which is done thematically) includes more than 5000 indexes. Ayatollah Ma’arifat’s works that are recently published under the collective name of (al-Tamhid) by al-Tamhid Institution, include the following:

1)      Al-Tamhid fi ulum al-Quran (An introduction into Quranic sciences), six volumes.

2)      Siyanat al-Quran min al-Tahrif (protection of Quran from distortions), one volume.

3)      Al-tafsir wa al-Muffassirun …(exegesis and exegetes …), two volumes.

4)      Shubahat wa Rudud Hawl al-Quran al-karim (skepticisms concerning the holy Quran and their answers).

These works are introduced under these headings: descriptive bibliography, analytic bibliography, table of subtitles and table of verses.

In addition to presenting a thematic indexation and containing the texts of Ayatollah Ma’arifat’s ten works, this software includes the views of important personalities and Ayatollah Ma’arifat’s relatives concerning Ayatollah Ma’arifat. Moreover it includes biographies of more 450 scholars of the holy Quran.
