ISCA Holds a Meeting on Ibn Taymiyyas Changing Legacy
The Islam and spirituality studies department of The Research Center for Ethics and Spirituality held a specialized English meeting on "A Historical analysis of Ibn Taymiyya's Changing Legacy" presented by Ahmet Jones, Expert of Salafism from Ireland on Monday, June 17, 2019, at Islamic Sciences and Culture Academy.
Ahmet Jones in addition to historical analysis of origins of Salafism pointed out that, "Wahhabism and Salafi Movement have made people not understand him accurately by distortion of his viewpoints and even caused distort and censor many of his thoughts."
This meeting was the second specialized English meeting that the Islam and spirituality studies department of the Research Center for Ethics and Spirituality held in ISCA and the lovers of discussions related to Salafism attended the meeting.
Dr. Ahmad Shakernejad, Director of the Islam and spirituality studies department was the scientific secretary of this meeting which was held in Imam Mahdi (a.s) Meeting Hall at 11.
